After assessing the landscape, we completed a comprehensive bush removal, taking out all shrubs from the front bed, while carefully preserving the juniper and mondo grass. Following this, we installed temporary dripline irrigation systems in both the front and rear beds to ensure proper watering. We then added a selection of new plants to enhance the beauty of the landscape, including hydrangeas, anise, azaleas, loropetalum, and black-eyed Susans in the front bed, as well as limelight hydrangeas and pittosporum in the rear bed. To finish the project, we refreshed all beds with approximately 30 bales of pine straw.

Courtyard Design Installation with Retaining Wall

A significant transformation took place at the North Augusta property. We stripped the front lawn of all grass and graded it to achieve a level surface. A new L-shaped Belgard Wesson retaining wall was constructed along the driveway and front sidewalk. We installed an irrigation system complete with a controller and backflow preventer. Additionally, we laid Palisade zoysia sod, and the existing walkway was redesigned, reusing materials to create a curved path. We also installed stair treads and various plants including dwarf Chinese holly and Japanese maples. Finally, mulch was added to enhance the new landscaping features.

We installed a 300 sq ft paver patio, maintaining a one-foot gap from the fence for river rock placement. Additionally, approximately two tons of small river rock was laid around the perimeter of the fence and raised garden bed. We also provided a complete 3D design of the rear lawn, giving a clear vision of the new landscape.

We ran into a few hiccups but Kelsea did a walkthrough and personally saw to it that my yard looked great. I had them do A TON of work. They did a large cleanup of my front and back yard which I had not upkept. They put down mulch in my front beds and pine straw in my back beds. They fixed my regulator for my sprinkler system and tested it. They also fixed an irrigation pipe. They took out 2 trees and lastly they installed underground drainage for two of my gutters. Everything went wonderfully and I am very glad to have found a lawn company that I trust. I had a different one I was happy with prior to this but they decided to make a business change and only do hardscaping so I was nervous to try out a new company. I am glad to say I absolutely recommend using Benson.”
